If you're a Capri habitué and get the feeling that you've been here before, that's probably because you came here before the island's Sollievo restaurant became Ristorante D'Amore.
A new name for an old restaurant. The recent subject of a radical makeover, Ernesto D'Amore's historic eatery, located within meters of the Piazzetta, has been transformed into the kind of casual-chic restaurant Capri has been waiting for.
In the dining room and on the terraces, the retro atmosphere of 1950's Capri combines with cutting-edge contemporary design to create a unique and elegant eating environment.
Designer décor aside, the major protagonist is still the cuisine. Dishes are as flavor-packed as ever, and the Mediterranean menu continues to leave ample room for the great Neapolitan classics. A welcome addition, the contemporary concoctions created by the chef will appeal to the more adventurous of taste buds.
