Situated in the spot where the elegant Via Camerelle meets the panoramic Via Tragara, the "Faraglioni" restaurant is one of Capri's best-known eateries, and an obligatory port of call for members of the international jet set visiting the island.
The origins of Restaurant Faraglioni date back to the 1900's, when it served as a welcoming Inn for those travelers who, following on the trail of the Grand Tour, visited Capri and often decided to stay on the island for weeks, if not months.
An atmosphere of times past continues to pervade Faraglioni. Customers are still served at tables shaded by Capri's traditional 'pagliarelle' canopies and positioned so as to offer a privileged view of Via Camerelle's glamorous people parade. Additional tables are set on the opposite side of the road, under pergolas of centuries-old wisteria.
Faraglioni provides a relaxed and informal environment in which to savor the island's delicious ravioli capresi, sea food linguine and lemon risotto. Fish and crustaceans can be selected directly by the client from the fish tank. The wine list contains more than six hundred labels of superb Italian and international wines. The perfect place for an eating experience to remember.
